For the 2021 World Expo in Dubai, the ambition of the France Pavilion is to unleash inspiration in its visitors: to bring out ideas, desires, and emotions, to generate involvement, to embody innovations. An expression of the wish for progress, innovation and creation, the visitor experience revolves around light.
"Light, Enlightenment": this unifying theme has been present since the genesis of the project, both in the Pavilion architecture and in its exhibitions and event programming topics.
Carlos Cruz-Diez will take over the spaces of the Belvedère with an exceptional permanent display of artworks, presented by La Patinoire Royale in collaboration with the Atelier Cruz-Diez Paris.
Within the continuity of the permanent exhibition, visitors will be able to discover a temporary exhibition. From 12 December 2021 to 15 January 2022, the visitors will be able to discover a Chromosaturation, an installation which, by making the viewer an active player and maker, reveals colour to us as a luminous phenomenological reality, independent of any formal or symbolic structure.
