The Almanach exhibition is the inaugural research project of the Fondation d'entreprise Martell, which, after 5 years of existence, is becoming a platform for research and experimentation in art and design, as well as a space for awareness-raising and learning focused on the Living.
This experimental initiative, which takes the form of an exhibition, residencies, meetings and a living archive laboratory, was born of a reflection on how a foundation, located in a context that is both rural and industrial, prosperous and off-center, can act as an agent of dynamism for its territory and activate new transformative potential for the collective. An inventory of the area's resources and problems quickly became a prerequisite for any action.
A team of designers was commissioned to survey a wide range of local contacts (institutions, businesses, professional networks and residents of Charente and Charente-Maritime), in order to identify local resources - natural and industrial, tangible and intangible.
