Anne & Patrick Poirier, Gaia, 2021
Anne and Patrick Poirier's colorful installation launches a hymn to life, life in abundance. These two silvered antique glass windows, Eros and Gaïa, are a continuation of the mirrors created for Palazzo Butera in Palermo (2018). They were first shown by Jean-Gabriel Mitterrand in the Errances (2021) exhibition at Domaine du Muy. These ogive-shaped mirrors, a contemporary echo of the bays of Saint-Séverin opposite them, reflect the image of the world in all its brilliance.
