Archaeologist and architect, as they define themselves, Anne and Patrick Poirier have been exploring the archaeology of memory since the 1960s, through installations such as AMNESIA, which they have just donated to the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Orléans. The Table du banquet. A tribute to Madeleine and Jean Zay, to be installed from November 2023, AMNESIA is a reminder of the fragility of culture, the leitmotif of the duo's work, who project themselves here as archaeologists of the third millennium. From the climatic catastrophe that devastated the Earth, only the AMNESIA bunker remains, into which visitors are invited to plunge to rediscover the human knowledge classified centuries ago.
